To use their knowledge and experience gained as Master on board Stolt Tankers to assist and support STJS ships’ crews and maintain ship operations to Stolt standards. To assist with third party (customer) and oil major inspections. To provide pre-vetting inspection assistance when owners have none of their staff available. In their designated area of responsibility (Houston port area (including all US Gulf ports West of Lake Charles), New Orleans (including all US Gulf ports East of Lake Charles), N.W. Europe or Asia) to monitor, support and direct operation on the STJS, SNICS, SNAPS and SNIAS Fleets to achieve the best result as a member of the Tanker Operation management team and to keep all parties informed. Port Captains will rotate office and field duties while exhibiting and promoting the company values and policies.
STJS Port Operations
Provide technical and project management support for various projects in SHVN terminals, including design, cost estimating, construction management and commissioning. Perform duties in accordance with Stolthaven policy and procedures.
Inspect terminal operations areas for safety risks and assist the Safety/Superintendent/ER in making the terminal a safe work environment.
Execute the regional marketing strategy with emphasis on maximizing terminal profit and promoting the Owner’s Berth concept. Manage customer relationships and promote high level of customer satisfaction through facilitating day-to-day marketing operations.
SHVN - Marketing
Manages the ship's commercial trading utilization through efficient cargo stowage, quality control practice, and voyage planning consistent with port/terminal/regulatory restrictions.
To administer existing Contract of Affreightments, identify and secure new ones and fixed spot cargoes on the assigned trade routes profitably.

Specific responsibility for identifying quality cadet recruits and supervising their development during their traineeship. Ensure the effective career development of all Stolt Filipino seafarers. Ensure that training is contributing fully to the company goals through proper utilization of funds, strategic deployment of human resource, effective execution of projects and activities and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitor and report any development in the Philippines training and certification regulation.
