Houston is on the road to recovery after the severe impact of Hurricane Ike. Many businesses and homes sustained severe property damage, 3 million were without power and the death toll number, never justifiable, is still increasing as recovery and cleanup continues.
The Stolt-Nielsen corporate family cares greatly about all employees and their families. A Disaster Relief Fund has been established through the Greater Houston Community Foundation meant to offer some financial assistance to those who have been displaced or sustained extensive property damage or loss. The Company will match donations up to $25,000.
During a disaster, such as this, we are made aware of how many things we take for granted, but more importantly, it allows us the opportunity to reach out to our colleagues and help return some sense of normalcy to their life.
You can donate to the fund via check or online using a credit card:
Checks should be made payable to: Greater Houston Community Foundation with Stolt-Nielsen Disaster Relief Fund included on the memo line. Please forward to BRJ in the Houston HR Department.
For online donations, visit www.ghcf.org and on the right side of the screen under Make a Donation to One of our Other Funds, click: Donate Now. Using the drop-down box next to Program Designation, select Stolt-Nielsen Disaster Relief Fund and complete the rest of the form.
All donations to the Fund are eligible to be considered as a tax deduction. However, only gifts of $250 or more will receive a Gift Receipt from GHCF. For other amounts, print the online confirmation or make a copy of your check and retain as proof of donation.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
