Stolt Tank Containers operates a fleet of 122 bitutainers on behalf of Stolt Bitumen Services (SBS). The fleet primarily serves the needs of customers in the rapidly growing infrastructure sector in South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The fleet includes units ranging in size from 21,000 litres, which are ideal for small ports and rail transportation, up to units with a capacity of 27,000 litres. Bitutainers resemble corrugated GP boxes, but are equipped with a top manhole and bottom outlet. The bitutainers also have dual-burner heating tubes (using diesel fuel), enabling on-site heating and storage. STC’s bitutainers are ISO certified for sea, road and rail transportation.
