Rail Services

Stolt-Nielsen Rail Services (SNRS) operates a fleet of more than 500 tank cars, with nominal capacities ranging from 20,800 to 30,000 gallons (78,740 to 113,560 litres). The SNRS fleet provides multi-service, spot-trip and short-term service, as well as longer term and dedicated service.

SNRS’s tank-car rail services include door-to-door service, bill of lading issuance, leasing (short & long term), fleet management and through transportation services (TTS), plus direct transfers to and from trucks, tank containers, ships barges and storage tanks. Other services include tracking, cleaning, testing, cargo sampling, storage, inspections, etc. Cars are available in a variety of sizes and configurations, with various linings.

We operate in United States, Canada and Mexico. SNRS offers transloading for imports and exports, and bilingual support from SNRS’s knowledgeable and experienced personnel.

SNRS also offers a complete package of rail fleet management services, including comprehensive shipment monitoring and freight infrastructure services.

We transport a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous products, including food-grade and Kosher products, oils, lube oils, solvents, fatty alcohols, fatty acids, alkaline products, acids, pet coke, glycols, esters, ethers and acrylates.

SNRS  is a member of the National Industrial Transportation League and the Southwest Association of Rail Shippers; we collaborate with the Association of American Railroads, Federal Railroad Administration and the US Department of Transportation.
