The Stolthaven Applications landscape that needs to be supported is in some areas highly complex and tightly integrated with factory automation systems, tank management and inventory systems and field equipment, supporting a real-time operations environment. As result of fast growth, often through mergers and acquisitions, the applications landscape is highly fragmented and several consolidation and standardization projects are currently ongoing. The primary role of Application Support Specialist is to provide functional and technical application support and to ensure the prompt resolution of application related incidents and to identify and apply changes required to ensure stable operation of the Stolthaven Terminals applications portfolio. This includes, but not limited to, planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing applications in the Stolthaven applications portfolio on a global level. The person will also analyze and resolve end-user’s complex application related problems in a timely and accurate fashion. This includes escalation to 3rd level support and liaising with software suppliers and third parties when appropriate. The position is based in Houston and will primary focus on supporting the North America based user community. Some travel within the region and international will be required.
