Community action on sustainability for STC India

Stolt Tank Containers India organised two successful community events in October, as part of its ongoing sustainability programme.

The Mumbai depot worked with the local the Dighode village council to host a tree-planting drive, which involved local children from the village helping to plant fruit-tree saplings (pictured below). They also learned about protecting the environment and were given gift packs with some useful educational supplies.

Meanwhile, the team from the Stolt Tank Containers depot in Kandla spent the day removing rubbish from Mandvi beach (main image). All the trash collected was separated into plastic and non-plastic and disposed of via government-approved disposal agencies.

“This trip served as an excellent sustainability initiative and also allowed us to engage in a good bonding and team-building exercise,” said Assistant Depot Manager Apurve Sharma.
