Stolt Sea Farm (SSF) is pleased to announce its partnership with Federazione Italiana Cuochi (FIC) – the Italian Federation of Chefs – to promote our award-winning seafood to its 20,000 members.
In Rome last month, SSF presented its ProdemarTM fresh turbot to more than 200 professional Italian chefs, who tasted a range of specially prepared turbot dishes.
And this month, as part of SSF’s partnership with FIC, ProdemarTM turbot was a key ingredient for the Italian team of professional chefs who competed at the World Association of Chefs' Societies IKA/Culinary Olympics.
Congratulations to the Italian team won the gold medal in the Restaurant of Nations category, with our turbot as their starter, and also took home the silver medal in the Chef Table category. We are also delighted that our ProdemarTM turbot was rated “excellent” by the jury and the chefs who had the opportunity to work with it.
The 125-year-old event is one of the oldest international culinary competitions in the world. From February 2-7, in Stuttgart, Germany, more than 1,200 professional chefs from 55 nations prepared more than 7,000 high-quality menus and SSF was delighted that our fresh turbot was showcased by the Italian team.
FIC is the largest network of chefs in Italy. It was established in 1968 to represent Italian chefs and support their development, career progression and training.
