Stolt Sea Farm (SSF) has hosted a series of events to showcase its products and aquaculture techniques to customers in France, the Netherlands and Spain.
In November, SSF hosted a training session in Northwest France with the sales team from a French seafood company. A chef prepared delicious recipes using SSF’s sustainably produced turbot and the feedback from attendees was positive. One participant said: “This is a great way to train staff and publicise your products”.
In the Netherlands, SSF organised its first-ever tapas workshops with the sales team from a Dutch seafood specialist. The event, held in Zeeland, included a product training session, a show cooking by a Spanish chef and then everyone took part in preparing tapas.
“The workshops were very well attended, and everyone loved the tapas concept, which is brand new for us,” said Manuela Gomez, SSF’s Marketing and Business Development Manager. “Based on the feedback, we will definitely host more of these events in the future to showcase the taste and diversity of our seafood.”
And in Spain, SSF took representatives from a leading Spanish supermarket chain on a guided tour of the Cervo hatchery and farms. The guests also enjoyed a tasting menu of SSF’s turbot and sole, including a delicious sole fillet with Galician lobster and an exquisite turbot with orange sauce, zucchini, and carrots.
“Our guests really enjoyed the meal and the whole experience of learning about our sustainable aquaculture techniques,” said Manuela. “We appreciate these opportunities to explain our processes and products in more detail to our customers. It is a great way for them to understand the whole production process and get to know the team behind it.”
