Stolt Sea Farm is delighted to have sponsored the programme, The Sea at School 2022, Playing with the Wind, in collaboration with local government and community associations.
This is the fourth year that Stolt Sea Farm has sponsored the Sea at School educational programme. It ran from March to June, and allowed more than 300 students from 13 schools on the Costa da Morte to experience school with a marine and maritime focus, in keeping with the region.
The students learned about sustainable aquaculture, how to value and care for the ocean's resources and the basics of sailing. They could also take part in a drawing competition to illustrate turbot aquaculture and its benefits for both our health and the planet.
The winner, 10-year-old Lara, was announced on June 15 at a small ceremony where SSF's Public Administrations Manager, Javier de Francisco, and Marketing Manager, Manuela Gómez, presented her with a canvas of her winning drawing (pictured). Lara will also visit SSF’s farm in Lira on June 22 with her fifth-grade classmates.
