Stolt Tank Containers: celebrating the past, looking to the future

On May 22, 2022, Stolt Tank Containers (STC) marked 40 years of operations. Over the past few months, the business has marked this milestone with celebrations in key locations around the world, culminating in a special event in the Netherlands last month.

The celebrations – which have included employees, valued partners and special guests – began in Houston, US in October, and are making their way around the globe, including Durban, South Africa (left), Dubai, UAE and ending in Singapore in early 2023.

STC hosted an event in Rotterdam on November 24, taking invited guests on a journey from past to present and into the future, and highlighting why the next 40 years might be even better than the previous four decades.

"STC has always been focused on progress but reflecting on how we got to where we are helps us move forward,” said President of Stolt Tank Containers, Hans Augusteijn, who officially welcomed people to the event. “The challenges we’ve overcome have made us stronger. The lessons we’ve learned have made us smarter. And what we’ve achieved, together with our partners, fills us with pride.”

Barry McNally, Vice President of STC, added: "One of the secrets of our continued success over the years has been our ability to innovate to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs. To that end, and to further our success, STC is continuing to invest in a more digital future, which will bring efficiency to us all."

And in closing, Laurent Grandjean, STC Director – Europe, told guests he had “the greatest role of the night, which is to say thank you to everyone who has played a part in the success of the business. Stolt Tank Containers is looking forward to working with all our customers, partners and colleagues for another 40 years”.
