Stolt Tank Containers has opened an office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, which will help strengthen its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and enhance its customer service network.
The new office, which opened in July, is providing support for STC's logistics centres in the EMEA region and bringing jobs to the Slovenian capital.
According to Laurent Grandjean, Director – Europe, Middle East, Africa, STC's rapid growth was the main catalyst for the new location: “Our team in Slovenia will provide essential administrative support for STC's expanding customer and operational needs in EMEA and give our local teams even more time to focus on building relationships with our clients.
"We chose Ljubljana from 35 possible locations in Europe because it offers the right mix of a skilled workforce, openness to new business and cost effectiveness, and shares our sustainability values.”
The new team is led by Operations Project Manager, Fernanda Neves (pictured far right with members of the new team), who has worked for STC in Brazil and the Netherlands for the past 15 years. "Stolt-Nielsen is a company of opportunities,” she says, “and I am excited to bring these opportunities to our new team in Ljubljana, to lead them to success and to develop new talent."
