Stolt Tankers recognised at ESG Shipping Awards International 2026

Stolt Tankers has received the Community Contribution Leader Award (Silver) at the ESG Shipping Awards International 2026, in recognition of three long-running community and environmental projects in the Philippines delivered in partnership with JCI Regatta.

The projects span mangrove restoration, coral rehabilitation and community education.

  • Project UGAT (Upsurging Greenery Amidst Tides), which delivers mangrove initiatives including planting programmes, a foot bridge and a nursery to support the long-term health of coastal ecosystems. The project has received multiple regional awards in the Philippines since 2023, including recognition as Best Environmental Sustainability Programme and Best Local Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
  • The Coral Project, which focus on coral nursery development, supporting the recovery of reef ecosystems. They have been recognised at both regional and national level in the Philippines for their contribution to global sustainability goals.
  • The Boats to School Programme, which addresses access to education in coastal communities, and has received regional recognition for community impact.

Maren Schroeder, President, Stolt Tankers, said:

This award belongs to everyone who has given their time and energy to these projects, and especially to colleagues in the Philippines. The work being done there, from restoring mangroves to getting children to school, represents a genuine commitment to the communities and environments we work alongside, and I'm proud of what the team has achieved."
