Welcome Stolt Dugong to the Stolt Tankers Fleet

Stolt Tankers’ newest ship, the Stolt Dugong joined our fleet this week. The Stolt Dugong is the third, and final 33,600 dwt stainless steel chemical tanker that Stolt Tankers B.V. agreed to purchase in May this year. Stolt Orca was delivered in July, followed by Stolt Beluga in August.

The ships were named by Project Manager at Stolt Tankers, Hugo von Aesch after winning an internal competition. Hugo took his inspiration from “some of the special marine life that we are privileged to share our oceans with”.

Valentins Baburgs, Stolt Tankers Fleet Manager Asia said: “Congratulations to everyone who was involved in the project to seamlessly integrate these new ships into our fleet. Special thanks go to the crew who have worked so hard in preparing the ships for their maiden voyages with Stolt Tankers. I am excited to have three modern chemical tankers join the regional Asia fleet.”

Maren Schroeder, Stolt Tankers Managing Director added: “I am pleased to welcome these latest ships to Stolt Tankers. Our investment in new tonnage will help Stolt Tankers to continue to meet the changing needs of customers for many years to come, while providing the highest levels of quality and safety.”

We wish all the crew fair winds and following seas!
